Welcome to the November edition of the IMPLAN newsletter. We hope you had an excellent Thanksgiving holiday! We are so thankful to our users for your continued support and feedback and to our team for keeping the exciting updates and improvements coming this holiday season. In this month’s newsletter, you’ll find information about training opportunities and updates to our software including the new Custom Region Library. 2021 Data is Live!
Our new 2021 data set is now accessible in IMPLAN Cloud. This data provides insights into the economy’s “new normal” in the aftermath of COVID. Learn more in our upcoming webinar. If you’re already an IMPLAN subscriber, you have automatic access to the new data in IMPLAN Cloud. You can find it by signing onto app.implan.com and choosing 2021 from the Data Year selection box.
Recent Product Updates
Last month we unveiled changes to our Region List View page including a Custom Region Library. Now it’s easy to create custom and combined regions, as well as to delete unwanted custom or combined regions. Learn more below!
Three Training Options
We know that everyone learns in different ways. That’s why we have three different options for training! Our Training on Demand series lets you work through modules at your own pace. Our virtual training offers live, weekly 4-hour sessions taught over the course of 5 weeks. Finally, our in-person training offers an on-site, 3-day session at the IMPLAN Headquarters in Charlotte, NC. Choose the option that works best for your schedule and your learning style and let’s get started!
Combining Regions in IMPLAN allows users to create Regions of grouped geographies to analyze impacts beyond a single geography. Once a Combined Region is created, it will always be available for use in a project! You can combine Regions in IMPLAN Cloud using the Map or List View. The Map View is the easiest method when you have only a few areas to combine. However, when combining multiple regions at a time, this process can be streamlined by using the Region List.
2021 data is available in IMPLAN Cloud! While 2020 data allowed users to capture economic shifts related to the COVID pandemic in their analyses, the 2021 dataset represents the “new normal” for our post-pandemic economy.
